Advanced doors for the world's largest airliner
Only one Danish company was allowed to participate in the development of the world's largest passenger plane, the Airbus A380. Teccluster A/S had a key function, when the prototype of Airbus A380's doors was developed. If you are fllying with the A380, you can experience our contribution at the first door on the left and on one of the two in the front on the right.
In short about the Project
The world's largest passenger plane, the Airbus 380, began construction in 2005. Teccluster was selected to provide mechanical constructions for three of the aircraft's doors and subsequently to the sheathing of the Cockpitt. By using Additive Manufacturing, including SLS-technology, Teccluster developed advanced prototypes and components, which reduced not only time but costs as well.
After delivering the doors in Germany, we were requested also to develop and deliver the sheathing for the Cockpitt.
